It can be an art to balance taking care of kids with a regular exercise schedule. One group of moms has perfected it and there's a growing movement in the metro called Stroll Into Shape.
Stroller Boot Camp gives mothers a chance to exercise while using and entertaining their little ones. Some use their babies as weights and even sing to them while exercising.
The class runs every Tuesday and Thursday through August 1st from 9:30-10:30 a.m. near the Stone Ridge Splash Park at 162nd and Fort in Omaha. “It's wonderful because the kids love it, the mom's love it, the babies get entertained and you get to work out, so you don't have to do the same thing having the kids in a day care, too."
Cost is $10 per class in advance or $13 at the park. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to sign up. A certified babysitter is on site to take care of older kids.
