An Ashland man has been sentenced for driving under suspension and drug possession charges.
Saunders County Attorney Scott Tingelhoff says 43-year-old Donald Wakefield was sentenced to 20 to 48 months in prison for Driving Under Supension while his license had been revoked for 15 years. A citizen report led to Wakefield's arrest.
Wakefield was also sentenced to serve 12 months in prison for Possession of Controlled Substance. Both sentences will be served concurrently.
While conducting a search for Wakefield who had misdemeanor and felony warrants, a deputy with the Saunders County Sheriff’s Department observed a glass smoking device containing a controlled substance in Donald Wakefield’s possession. Wakefield was arrested and booked into the Saunders County Jail as a result of these charges and the outstanding warrants.
