A 25-year-old Omaha man was arrested late Sunday in connection to the city's latest shooting.
Officers were called to a home near 60th and Ames around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. A witness told police that a small group of people were standing on the front porch, when they heard one gun shot.
One-year-old Quincy Walker and 45-year-old Harriet Pappan were hit by small pellets. Walker was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. He was struck in both the back and the back of the head and was kept overnight at the hospital for observation.
Pappan is Walker grandmother and was holding the boy when the shot was fired.
Police say they found the suspect, Rolando Henley, across the street. He was booked for two counts of felony assault and one count of possession of a short shotgun.
