You might be able to deal with a hard pillow or an air conditioner that makes the room feel like a meat locker but a room without a television? A handful of rooms were left without their flat screen TV's after two burglaries at Omaha hotels.

A couple of weeks ago thieves were caught on camera at the Days Inn near 115th & Miracle Hills Drive. Thieves somehow had key cards in this break-in but our request for the video was denied so it's hard to tell if the same thieves are responsible for other crimes at area hotels.

The Sleep Inn on Abbott Drive near Eppley Airfield was hit this week. Six more 32 inch flat screen televisions were stolen. The police report indicated some doors were pried open.

OPD also sent out a tweet this week indicating an Omaha motel had security cameras stolen.

There is also a community that is dealing with 10-14 burglaries since the first of the year. Residents at the Country Estates Townhomes have had property stolen in a series of break-ins. The property manager says they are offering free security measures like motion activated lights and braces for windows and sliding glass doors.
