Annual Winter Bike Ride Set

Cyclists from all over the metro area are invited to decorate their bicycles and themselves and participate in the fourth annual "Bike de Lights."

The ride is a non-competitive after-dark bicycle ride presented by Omaha Bikes. The group ride is Friday, December 14th and will begin at Clancy’s Pub Pizza & Grill (777 North 114th Street).

DATE: Friday, December 14, 2012

TIME: 6:00 p.m. pre-ride gathering - Ride starts at 7:00 p.m.

START: Clancy’s Pub Pizza & Grill, 777 North 114th Street

COST: FREE

NOTE: For safety, lights and bicycle helmets are required
Children are welcome and encouraged (parents/guardians must be present)

Cyclists weave through neighborhoods enjoying the holiday lights at a recreational and conversational pace.

The routes are designed that both casual and serious riders of all ages and skill levels will enjoy the fun winter night ride experience.

The 4 mile route will loop through the Candlewood neighborhood and the 10 mile route will continue west through the Lindenpark, Lindenwood and Seville neighborhoods.

Designated stops along the route will allow cyclists to warm up and relax.

Cyclists will meet one hour before the ride to gear up in the bike corral at Clancy’s north patio. This event is free, but participants must arrive early to register.
