Booze theft investigation from the Plattsmouth Hy-Vee store a few weeks ago is moving along.
The Cassgram reports the two male suspects in the surveillance camera still photos released by police have been identified; the woman, the getaway car driver, has not been identified. It appears other Hy-Vee stores in the Omaha metro area were hit in the same fashion this year.
Plattsmouth Police Chief Steve Rathman said one of the men is in custody in Douglas County and paperwork was forwarded to the Cass County Attorney’s Office on Friday with evidence on the other man. The county attorney will now decide on the arrest warrant process.
Police have learned other Hy-Vee stores experienced similar thefts but Rathman said the high quality video system in the new Plattsmouth store has offered the best look at the suspects and led police to where they are now in the case.
Over $1200 worth of alcohol was stolen from the Plattsmouth store in April.
