Douglas County has a new program to help monitor it's emergency sirens.
Called Adopt-a-Siren the program will allow volunteers to monitor the status of the 120 sirens in the county and report back to the Emergency Management Agency.

Wednesday the county tested it's sirens. The staff at Hitchcock Elementary School in Millard used the test as an opportunity to practice their severe weather drill.
