Only certain fish species have been tagged in Nebraska: largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, white bass, hybrid striped bass (wiper), walleye and channel catfish. Those tagged fish have been released in 10 Nebraska water bodies:

Cunningham Lake in Omaha
Harlan County Reservoir near Alma
Lewis and Clark Lake near Crofton
Lake McConaughy near Ogallala
Merritt Reservoir near Valentine

Big Game Application Period Begins May 21.
Big Game Guide Now Available
Deer, elk and antelope hunters will want to mark their calendars: the application period for 2012 Nebraska big game permits begins at 1 p.m. Central time on May 21 and
runs through June 1.
Remaining permits for deer and antelope go on sale on July 9, 2012.
Changes for the 2012 hunting season include the elimination of earn-a-buck requirements from all areas and the addition of Frenchman and Platte Mule Deer Conservation Areas as draw units. Season Choice Area names and boundaries have been changed to match November firearm unit names and boundaries.
