The Cassgram reports that due to floodwaters covering the road to its water treatment plant, the City of Plattsmouth is unable to take delivery of the lime that is used to soften the city’s water.
In hopes of conserving lime and maintaining a degree of softness in the water, the city has tapered back on its use of lime, which will result in moderately hard water.
The city’s water is still safe, as lime is the only product that can not currently be transported to the plant.
