Omaha Police continue to investigate a shooting that happened just after 6:30 Monday morning.

It happened near the intersection of 42nd and Nebraska Ave. The victim, 49-year-old Danny Burt of Omaha, told police he was waiting for the bus when two suspects approached him and asked him for money.

Police say the suspects then pulled out a gun and shot Burt in the leg right before they fled the area on foot .

Burt was taken to The Nebraska Medical Center with injuries not expected to be life-threatening.

The suspects are described as black males wearing dark clothing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Omaha Police at 402-444-5867.
