Blame it on the rain or a lightning strike. The Council Bluffs Public Library will be closed for at least one day as crews to fix an important piece of equipment this time of year.
The air conditioning unit at the library is "fried" according to an employee of the main branch at 400 Willow Ave. With the heat index expected to soar into the 90's today the decision was made to close the library for today and possibly tomorrow if the air conditioner is not fixed.
