Code Enforcement Warning About Pools
The Plattsmouth Police Department is promoting safety within the community and is making citizens aware of a code enforcement issue.
Private swimming pools containing more than 24” of water depth are required to be surrounded by a fence or barrier at least 48” high above the finished ground level. Gates on such fence or barrier must be self-closing and self-latching.
A release from the police department said “This is the next phase of our code enforcement efforts. Due to the nature of this issue, citizens will be asked to immediately remedy the situation or drain their pool until such time corrective action is taken.”
