The Nebraska State Patrol Tuesday afternoon released the name of the man who died in a car crash on Interstate 80 between Lincoln and Omaha.
NSP says 25-year-old Cory J. Scott of Bellevue died when his car left the road and crashed in a creek bed.
Investigators at the scene told a Channel 6 News Crew the car appeared to be traveling at a high rate of speed when they believe it hydroplaned and crashed through a retaining fence.
Scott was the only person in the car. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
The crash happened at 7:36 Tuesday morning at mile marker 227 which is just east of the Platte River bridge.
