A 40-year-old Omaha woman is under arrest after Keno funds she was supposed to deposit failed to turn up in a bar bank account.
Goldeez Food & Spirits filed a police report after funds entrusted to employee Lorrie A. Wilmes apparently failed to be deposited.
Wilmes was to deposit $2,173 from Keno receipts taken in by the establishment on Friday May 7th.
When questioned about the funds, Wilmes said she deposited the money, but didn't get a receipt. She said she has no idea what happened to the missing cash.
No records of any deposit at the bank were found.
Wilmes is charged with theft by deception.
