The Nebraska Department of Revenue’s Net Taxable Sales Report, comparing January 2010 to January 2009, shows Cass County with a 7.3% sales decrease to $6,883,566. In the Plattsmouth city limits, January sales were up just under a percentage point to $3,600,046.
The Cassgram reports the December ‘09 report had Cass County with a 14.1% sales decrease and Plattsmouth unchanged from a year earlier.
Statewide, January 2010 taxable sales were 0.9% lower than the previous year.

The NDR’s January Net Taxable Motor Vehicle Sales Report has Cass County with a 9.9% decrease when compared to the same month in 2009. Motor vehicle sales totaled $2,789,253.
The statewide vehicle sales report shows a 13% decrease when compared with January of the previous year.
