Chicago Avenue accident in Plattsmouth has more details.
Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann says 20-year-old Sean Perry of the Beaver Lake area was southbound in a Honda Accord when it skidded, went off the road into the grass, collided with an embankment and rolled several times. It came to rest upside down in a creek bed. Perry was taken to Midlands Hospital with injuries described as minor in the sheriff’s report. Perry was wearing a seatbelt.
The Cassgram reports evidence at the scene suggests that excessive speed was a contributing factor in the cause of the accident, says Brueggemann.
Cass County Emergency Management Agency officials were back at the scene Tuesday to check on the area where gas and oil had leaked into the creek.
