Roughly 40,000 people are expected to attend Berkshire Hathaway's annual meeting this weekend, and the event is certain to be good for business in Omaha.

Berkshire CEO Warren Buffett has said the Nebraska Furniture Mart recorded more than $30 million in sales during the discount period around the 2008 meeting

And more than 1,300 people made reservations at Piccolo's for the shareholder weekend after Buffett recommended the Italian steak house along with his longtime favorite, Gorat's, in his annual letter.

Buffett promises to visit both restaurants sometime on Sunday.

Piccolo's co-owner Donna Sheehan says the recommendation has been great for business, but now some people expect her to know
Buffett's whereabouts and what his next investment might be.
