Omaha Police were called to a North Omaha neighborhood Thursday afternoon. They were looking for a man who had allegedly shot his gun in the area. When they found him, there was another surprise.
It all happened at 14th & Carter Boulevard.
When police arrived on the scene, witnesses told them someone who had fired several shots- hitting no one- had run into a house.
Officers went inside and found a man with an outstanding felony warrant. He was quickly arrested.
Amidst the chaos, an officer was bitten by a police dog. He drove himself to a hospital. We're told the officer was not with a K9 unit.
Police have not released the suspect's name. It's not clear what the outstanding warrants were for.
