A man taken into custody for drunk driving is accused of attacking a Lincoln Police officer Wednesday morning.
While 35-year-old Christopher Awin was being interviewed by the officer, he allegedly tried to punch the officer. Investigators say Awin also tried to remove the officer's Taser from its holster, but wasn't successful. The officer suffered a minor bruise to his arm during the scuffle.
Awin was booked for second offense DUI, refusal to perform a chemical test, assault on an officer and speeding.
