Police Chief Changing Cities

Plattsmouth police Chief Brian Paulsen is resigning to take the chief’s job in Yankton South Dakota.

Yankton has a population of 14,500 which is about double the population of Plattsmouth. The Yankton force has 36 sworn officers.

Paulsen who has been in Plattsmouth for 25 years will remain Plattsmouth chief through May and assume duties in Yankton June 1st.
