UPS Honors Six Drivers In Nebraska For Safe Driving

Six Nebraska drivers for shipping giant UPS have gone more than 25 years without having an accident.

UPS recently honored the drivers by inducting them into the company's Circle of Honor. That elite group includes 4,793 UPS drivers worldwide and 78 in Nebraska who haven't had an accident in two and a half decades.

The Nebraska drivers recognized were: Thomas Goering of Grand Island; James Quicke Jr. of Scottsbluff; Steve Rose of Alliance; and Thomas Dam, Robert Parfitt and Gerald Vasa of Omaha.

But those six have a long way to go before they can claim the title of safest driver in the state. Richard Maly of Omaha and Tommy Ziehmer of Norfolk both have more than 38 years of accident-free driving for UPS on their records.
