The heartland rolled out its version of the red carpet to honor some homegrown talent. The 2010 Omaha Entertainment Awards were handed out Sunday night at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs.
The annual awards honor the best in performing arts, visual arts and live music. Hundreds came out for what organizers called Omaha's version of the Golden Globe Awards.
More than 4,000 nominations were received for the 52 trophies that were handed out. In addition to the awards, attendees were treated to live performances, everything from rock bands to poetry reading to a performance of a song from Creighton University's production of West Side Story.
To see how the nominees did, the awards show will be broadcast at 6 p.m. this Saturday night on WOWT. Click here for a list of nominations.
