Residents of a south-central Nebraska school district will vote in May on whether to build a new elementary school to consolidate the students from five schools.
The May 11 ballot measure for Adams Central Public Schools asks voters to approve a bond issue of nearly $15.8 million.
The school would be built near the existing junior/senior high school in Hastings.
Three of the five elementary schools are in Hastings or its outskirts. The remaining two are in nearby Ayr and Juniata.
All five feed into the district's junior/senior high school.
