Nebraska State Treasurer Shane Osborn has launched a new, searchable list of the 1.76 million payments made by state government last fiscal year.

Osborn said it is the first time residents are able to see exactly how all their tax dollars were spent, down to the last penny.

Visitors to www.Nebraskaspending.gov can sort and search by date, amount, the state agency that paid, and who received every payment made by state government to state employees, vendors, and contractors.

The site also lets visitors generate lists of all travel reimbursements, office supplies, and expenses related to state vehicles, among other things.

The list is available by clicking on the "2008-2009 Expenditures" link on the Web site.
