A jogger was struck by lightning at Lake Zorinsky Saturday night. The impact of the strike also injured his son.

The pair were jogging on the path that encircles the lake when the father took a direct hit just before 8 p.m. Lightning struck the top of his head and ran through his body and out his shoes, burning an imprint into the pavement. The impact of the strike knocked the son to the ground. When emergency personnel arrived, the father did not have a pulse, but they were able to get a one as they transported both men to the hospital. Their names and conditions have not been disclosed.
