A heartland man turned himself in to police Thursday. Investigators say he was created a false return scheme to steal money from his employer.
Lincoln police say 30-year-old Christopher Thiel was an employee of Handyman Home Remodeling. He allegedly made false returns and then pocketed the cash or credited his own credit card accounts.
Investigators believe the embezzlement began in July. Thiel allegedly made seven false returns for a total loss of more than $2,000.
He turned himself into Lincoln police headquarters Thursday and was booked for felony theft.
