Police credit and alert citizen who phoned in suspicious activity Thursday for thwarting a burglary.
The Cassgram reports Plattsmouth officers responded to a residence on North 11th Street just after noon. The citizen had seen a juvenile male enter the residence and the caller, a neighbor, knew the occupant of that residence was not at home.
After contacting the homeowner, officers determined the juvenile had gained entry to the residence and did not have permission to be there. The suspect was incarcerated in the Sarpy County Juvenile Justice Center with a detainer by the State of Nebraska. Burglary charges are pending.
