State Senator Seeks Re-Election
State Senators seeks second term.
Senator Dave Pankonin (District 2) cites accomplishments and trust by voters and colleagues in making the decision.
Pankonin was first elected in 2006.
“It has been an honor and privilege to serve the citizens of District 2 as their state senator for the past three years,” Senator Pankonin said. “Serving the constituents of this district has been a truly rewarding experience, and I sincerely appreciate the trust and confidence they have placed in me.”
Pankonin was elected chairman of the Legislature’s Retirement Systems Committee. He serves as vice chairman of the Health and Human Services Committee and is a member of the Banking, Commerce and Insurance Committee. Pankonin is also on the Legislature’s Committee on Committees, which determines committee assignments. Pankonin’s press release states he “has established a fiscally responsible voting record over the past three years and his multiple leadership positions are an indication that he is trusted by his colleagues in the Legislature.”
