Police have identified the man under arrest for allegedly stabbing an Omaha bar owner Friday afternoon when he tried to break up a fight between the suspect and a woman.

Police say the owner of the Ko-Zee Lounge at 5813 North 60th Street stopped the fight in his bar just after noon, but ended up with stab wounds near his collarbone and under one of his arms.

The suspect, 63-year-old Nathaniel Hall, was kicked out of the bar, but came back a short time later armed with a knife. Hall allegedly stabbed the bar owner, 66-year-old Jerald Burgess.

Officers found Hall at a nearby residence and took him into custody. He was booked for second-degree felony assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

Burgess was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. He had asked not to be taken to the hospital, but was taken anyway as a precaution. He has since been released.
