Omaha police have identified the two victims in a shooting at the BP gas station near 30th and Dodge. Investigators say it all started with a fight between two groups of men.
Witnesses say one group of men left in a newer four-door car. Several people from the other side allegedly chased after it. One of the people in the second car then opened fire.
Twenty-year-old Daniel Zamudio and 30-year-old Pablo Vasquez later arrived at Creighton University Medical Center in a private vehicle.
Police say Zamudio is currently listed in critical condition. His injuries were thought to be life-threatening, but do not appear to be at this point.
Vasquez's injuries are considered non-life threatening.
Police did look at the surveillance video from the BP store, but nothing was caught on camera.
Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call the Omaha Police Homicide Unit at 444-5656.
