Douglas County Sheriff’s Department deputies and Nebraska State Patrol troopers are looking for a man who led them on a chase Saturday morning.

It started just before 1 a.m. when the man threatened a woman in a home near Sorenson Parkway and 88th Street. He left and hitched a ride with another woman.

After leaving the SUV, the suspect took off on foot in a neighborhood near 192nd and West Maple.

"We got officers in the area, established a perimeter, brought canines in, brought a helicopter in, attempted to track the party using the canine and I believe we had a positive track for a short time, but at some point that track, we lost,” said Douglas County Deputy Sgt. Tucker Wheeler.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Department knows who it's looking for because the man had prior warrants for his arrest.
