A 28-year-old Omaha man is in police custody after he allegedly shot at a woman a day after stealing money from her.

According to police reports, a 35-year-old Omaha woman said she was driving in the area of 26th and St. Mary’s Ave around 11 Sunday night.

She told police a man pulled up beside her in a black 1997 GMC Yukon and fired two shots at her through the passenger’s window.

The man then sped off.

Police responded to the area and the woman told them she knew the man who fired at her.

She said he stole money from her the previous day while she was selling Avon products in the area.

Police went to the home of Tremayne V. Williams and arrested him for allegedly shooting at the woman.

After a search of the home, police also found a .380 handgun, a 9mm handgun, a shotgun, a spent 9mm shell casing and four grams of hashish.

Williams is charged with felon in possession of a gun, use of a weapon to commit a felony, unlawfully discharging a firearm at an occupied structure (car) and for possession of a defaced firearm.
