An suv slams into a building at a high rate of speed leading police to believe the driver may have been street racing.

The GMC Yukon slammed into an Aldi store at the intersection of 30th & Sorensen Parkway just after one this morning.

As it came to the intersection it side-swiped a Ford Explorer before hitting a brick wall along the side of the building.

The driver was thrown from the driver's side window and had to be hospitalized in serious condition.

The man was alert and talking and even told police his girlfriend, who was a passenger in the vehicle, ran off after the crash.

The driver of the Explorer was not injuried.
