New sales tax ordinance has been passed by Plattsmouth City Council. Provisions in the measure to start April 1st, 2010 according to the Cassgram.
The action adds a one-half cent sales tax and removes the ‘sunset’ clause in the current one-cent sales tax. Voters gave solid approval to both propositions a week ago today.
The council suspended the rules and passed the ordinance in one session.
