6th Grader Gets College Help

A metro elementary student’s college plans are already taking shape.

Sixth-grader Nakiya Scaife received a $500 scholarship from Bellevue University at the Kids Can Community Center fund-raiser Tuesday.

The University said they do this because they recognize how strong support at the elementary level can only benefit their college career.

With an eye to the future, Nikiya told us, “I want to become a dance teacher."
