Iowa City Woman Arrested, Leaves Baby Alone While At Local Bar
An Iowa City woman has been arrested after police say she left her 4-month-old baby alone while she was at a bar.
Arlene Green is charged with child endangerment-no injury.
Police were called on Oct. 17 by a man who returned home from being gone all day to find the baby in his apartment unattended.
Police say Green returned a short time later in a cab. She denied leaving the child, but the cab driver said when he picked her up she didn't have a baby.
Green was arrested on Saturday. Johnson County jail officials say Green remained in jail on Monday on a $3,000 bond. They had no information on whether she had hired an attorney.
