The State Fire Marshall's Office is now handling the investigation into an early Monday morning industrial fire. It took firefighters about an hour to get the blaze at Omni Engineering under control.
Omaha Firefighters responded to the first call at 4:35 a.m. near 132nd and Giles. They immediately contacted Omni Engineering to learn what kind of chemicals were stored at their facility. No combustible materials were present according to the owners.
An investigator on the scene said the cause of the fire was possibly a natural gas leak.
Omni is listed as a road construction and paving company that has been in business in Omaha since 1985.
No one was injured in the fire.
