Tennis Anyone?
A new sport is needed but which one?
The Plattsmouth Board of Education did not take any action on adding a girls sport to meet Title IX requirements in the wake of adding boys baseball next school year according to the Cassgram.
A survey of girls in the district 5th grade through 11th grade showed 116 preferred tennis in the spring and 100 voted for swimming in the winter.
However, the girls were also asked about their years of experience in each activity and swimming lapped tennis nearly 4½ times, 128 years to 29 years.
