Nebraska's first set of quintuplets are sixth graders now.
It was July 1998 when we first met the Jansen Five from Oakland, Nebraska. They were born at 31-weeks. Taylor, Elijah, Carter, Nicholas and Miranda.
The children are 11 now and heard the recent news of another set of quintuplets born in Nebraska. "I knew we're not going to be the only 5 in Omaha our whole life," says Taylor.
"The first thing the kids said, 'Are we still famous?' said their mother Karla Jansen. "I said, 'Yes guys. You're still the first set in Nebraska.'"
The youngsters are also aunts and uncles. Their sister Nicole who was 13 when they were born -- has twins.
"A boy and a girl. They're almost two," says Karla. "The biggest question I get is do I watch *Jon and Kate plus 8*. I've been there, done that. I don't need to watch it. I live it 24-hours a day."
So what kind of advice do they have for the new parents of quints? "Try to enjoy as much as you can when they're babies because you might not remember a lot when they get older like at this age," says Karla. "I look back now and have to look at the videos to remember what they were like."
"5 kids can be a handful," says Taylor with the utmost seriousness.
