The deadline has arrived to register for an upcoming workshop geared toward helping women prepare a run for elective office.
"Ready to Run" will be held Oct. 10 in Omaha. The deadline to register is Wednesday.
Participants in the workshop can learn about fundraising,
communications and other responsibilities would-be candidates face.
Women who launched recent campaigns also will be on hand to share
their experiences on the campaign trail.
University of Nebraska at Omaha political science professor Loree Bykerk will be the keynote speaker.
The fee to attend the workshop is $50. Students can attend for $25.
