The National Weather Service continues the heat advisory through Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures once again on Tuesday will rise to the upper 90s however high humidity will make it feel like 105 to 110 degrees.
Nebraskans appear to be making fewer late payments on their vehicle loans, and they tend to owe less than most Americans on their cars.
Two of the nation's top credit reporting bureaus recently issued different reports on trends in auto loans during the second quarter of 2009.
Experian Automotive says the number of auto loans that were delinquent by 30 days rose nearly 15 percent nationwide in the second quarter, so that 3 percent of all auto loans were 30 days past due.
But Experian says in Nebraska, the number of auto loans that were 30-days delinquent actually declined by 3 percent.
TransUnion says Nebraska had the lowest average auto debt in the nation. Nebraskans owe an average of $10,712 on their vehicles.
