Group Steals Lincoln Man's Change Jar, Other Items

Lincoln police are looking for a group of men who robbed a 52-year-old man in his home.

The victim told police he answered his door at about 11 p.m. Saturday, and a man at the door asked for a person who did not live there.

Police say the victim reported that the man returned about five minutes later with at least three others and asked to use the phone and bathroom.

Lincoln Police Capt. David Beggs says the robbers forced their way inside the house and pointed a black semiautomatic handgun at the victim.

Police say the robbers took a television valued at about $800 as well as two jars of change, a cell phone, keys, a wallet and cash. Police estimated the total loss at about $1,140.

The man was not injured.
