Former Dating Service Manager Speaks Up
The former manager of a closed dating service says she feels bad for dozens of clients who paid fees but were stood up on service. But she has a plan to help them get their money's worth.
Courtney Hawkins says she managed Omahasingles.com. when corporate leaders in another state took control of operations. Courtney says, “I didn’t know the parties weren't going to be held and that the social events weren’t going to be held and that customer service wasn’t being provided.”
Hawkins has since opened a dating service called Omaha Love and she’ll provide discount offers to clients of Omahasingles. In some cases Omahasingles parent company continued to withdraw money from client's automatic withdrawal accounts event though the company closed in Omaha.
Courtney says, “I know these people have been burned. I want to offer them a service where they can get a good taste in their month about using a dating service.”
Omahasingles.com was sold a year ago by a Texas corporation. It's owner e-mails that he has no access to the company data base to determine how many clients may have money withdrawn to pay month fees after the business closed in Omaha. Efforts to contact the most recent owners has been unsuccessful.
