Officers have arrested a county supervisor from Valley County, Nebraska on accusations that he sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl.

Court documents filed Thursday say 52-year-old Craig Vogeler of North Loup attacked the girl on July 5.

He is accused of first-degree sexual assault of an underage person and third-degree sexual contact with an underage person. The Wheeler County Attorney's Office also says Vogeler restrained the girl during the assault.

Wheeler County Sheriff Adrian Lindsay says the girl reported being attacked at a party at Lake Ericson.

Vogeler is out on $7,500 bond, pending a court appearance Oct. 20.

He was elected to the board in November 2006.

Vogeler did not immediately respond to a call from The Associated Press on Friday.
