Airlines are offering Wi-Fi, but folks aren't buying it.

More than 500 Aircraft are flying with the ability to connect computers or other devices to the internet without cables.

Some offered the service free during a trial period but analysts say usage of the free internet service drops off dramatically when people have to pay for the service..

Power-or the lack thereof-is another consideration, as flights have limited access to power ports and Wi-Fi eats up batteries.
