Flu at Westside High Keeps Students Out

This week Westside High reached a 10% absentee level with students out with flu-like symptoms, other ailments, or out for other reasons. That's approximately 200 of the 1800 high school students at Westside.

Tonight the director of the Douglas County Health Department, Dr. Adi Pour, will answer questions about the swine flu at Westside High School.

Last week a confirmed case of swine flu was reported at Westside. Two Omaha Elementary Schools, Prairie Wind and Pawnee Elementary, have also reported one case each of a student with the H1N1 virus.

Dr. Pour and several of her colleagues will be available to answer the public's questions. Westside High is located at 87th and Pacific Street. The presentation begins at 6:30pm in room 220.
