White House Official To Speak At NE Rally

An official in President Obama's administration was scheduled to speak at a Nebraska rally in support of health-care reform.

Officials with AARP Nebraska said that Nick Rathod, associate director of intergovernmental affairs at the White House, will be the keynote speaker at the rally to be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday on the west side of the Nebraska Capitol. Rathod is from Nebraska and his family lives in Hastings.

The rally is being organized by AARP Nebraska and is intended to pressure the state's congressional delegation to support health-care reform.

State Sens. Jeremy Nordquist of Omaha and Amanda McGill of Lincoln were also scheduled to speak at the rally.
