A 21-year-old Omaha man was finally caught by Omaha Police for a tirade several months earlier resulting in a multitude of charges.
According to police reports, Anthony Hollingsworth was finally arrested when a car he was driving was pulled over by Omaha Police for blaring his stereo too loud.
After the stop, the officer requested the vehicle’s registration. Another man in the car opened the glove box and the officer spotted a bag of suspected marijuana.
A search of the car revealed six spent 45 caliber shell casings on the floor of Hollingsworth’s car.
Hollingsworth was named as a suspect in three charges of assault on his girlfriend and two children on May 12.
On June 16, Hollingsworth allegedly returned to the girlfriend’s home, claimed she had damaged his car and began breaking out windows in her car. He was also armed with a handgun.
Hollingsworth is alleged to have run after the woman and yelling at her. The woman called for someone to call police. Shots were then fired and a neighbor’s car was hit.
That victim allegedly fired several shots at Hollingsworth’s car as he drove away. Another neighbor was grazed by a bullet during the exchange.
On July 2, Hollingsworth was also involved in a chase with police near 24th and Redick Ave.
