The Lied Platte River bridge will be closed again beginning Monday (8/24) so debris can be removed from the river next to the bridge,
according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
The Cassgram reports that It’s expected to reopen by the end of September.
The hiking and biking bridge was closed temporarily for cleanup earlier this year, but work was halted because of state and federal regulations to protect the endangered pallid sturgeon and threatened piping plover.
