65 Pounds Of Pot Found On Railroad Car In Iowa

Authorities say 65 pounds of marijuana with a street value of nearly $160,000 have been found on a railroad car at an ethanol plant near Lakota in northern Iowa.

The Kossuth County sheriff's office says 13 bundles of pot were discovered on Tuesday as the grain cars at the Global Ethanol Plant were being inspected.

Sheriff Steve Kollasch (COAL'-ash) says a suspicious black plastic bundle was hidden in the hollow metal frame of the grain car. A deputy then pulled out more bundles, each weighing about 5 pounds.

Authorities say the grain cars came to Iowa from Mexico. The investigation continues.
